Our Commitment: A Letter from CLIA’s Executive Director

CLIA remains steadfast in our mission to provide comprehensive legal services, and we will continue to stand with Nebraska’s immigrant and refugee community.
— Mary Choate, Executive Director

At the Center for Legal Immigration Assistance, we are committed to serving immigrants and refugees by providing comprehensive legal services so that they can thrive. Our goal is to ensure that immigrants and refugees in Nebraska have the safety, stability, and legal status so that we can all enjoy the Good Life.

Since Inauguration Day, uncertainty and fear have spread throughout the immigrant community. Troubling statements and broad generalizations about immigrants and refugees have led to misinformation and confusion about our new neighbors.

We firmly disagree with these narratives. CLIA remains steadfast in our mission to provide comprehensive legal services, and we will continue to stand with Nebraska’s immigrant and refugee community. No matter the challenges ahead, we are committed to ensuring that our clients receive the support and services they need.

To our supporters — thank you. Your continued dedication to our mission makes our work possible, and we are deeply grateful for your commitment to justice and inclusion.
