Success Story: Reuniting Sameera and Ibrahim

This month we celebrated a couple that was just reunited through the immigrant visa process.

Sameera had lived in a refugee camp since 2014 after ISIS attacked her village.

Ibrahim, who had known Sameera since childhood and was in the same refugee camp, came to the U.S. in 2016 with his parents.

The two married in 2021, and while Ibrahim established citizenship in the US, Sameera remained in Iraq.

Ibrahim found CLIA and we helped them file the I-130 which was approved in February 2023. It took nearly a year to get an interview at the US embassy in Baghdad.

Today, Ibrahim and Sameera Zandinan are together!
